The first proper look we’ve gotten at David Fincher’s “The Social Network” came a few weeks ago and it was great. Set to a chilling cover of Radiohead’s ’90s hit “Creep,” people saw it and were finally able to nod their heads, saying “Yup, it’s a Fincher movie.”
Now there’s a new promo floating around online. A minute-long collection of clips set to Kanye West’s new single, “Power.” The last trailer showed more and better highlighted the arc of the story, whereas this is mostly a collection of clips. It all plays great against the Kanye track though; if you liked the last trailer, you’ll want to check this one out too.

We stumbled upon this amazing website called “Very Mary-Kate” dedicated to parodying Mary-Kate Olsen.  The woman behind the parody is an immensely talented actress named Elaine Carroll.

She has made a series of nineteen videos, and we’re hoping she makes more. In this particular video, Mary-Kate has dinner with Zac Efron, who is played by an equally hilarious actor, and they talk over the typical first-date topics: music, a future between them, menstruation?

This is a must-watch!

We’re calling this one early – Usher’s “Hot Toddy” featuring Jay-Z and Ester Dean may be the second hottest song of Summer (hard to compete with Katy Perry’s “California Gurls”).

Already being spun on radio, the hot track hit the web Tuesday and has quickly picked up traction for Usher who will release his sixth studio album Versus on August 24, 2010.

What do YOU think of Usher’s “Hot Toddy”?? Hot or not so much?

There’’s just nothing like curling up under a blanket and realizing you have the freedom to not only move your arms, but hold a baby and read a book! Enter, the Snuggie.

The jewel-colored Snuggie generated a huge cult-like following after its infomercial went viral in 2008. Hundreds of parodies of the odd commercial hit the web, inspiring Allstar Products Group, the makers of the Snuggie, to allow people to submit their own Snuggie videos for a chance to win $5,000 for first place and $2,500 for second and third place.

In addition to the monetary prize, winners will be given a few Snuggies, as well as the chance to appear in future commercials. Killer deal, right? There is a catch! Your video has to be under three minutes and submitted before midnight on September 1st. Time to go get your Snuggie on folks!

In the meantime, enjoy this new Snuggie advertisement, the “”Snuggie Macarena.”” You’re welcome.

Producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe of “So You Think You Can Dance” chatted with Ryan Friday to explain his “Freudian slip” on the show, referring to his possible re-emergence as Producer on “American Idol.”

If you weren’t tuning in to “So You Think You Can Dance” on Wednesday, judge Nigel had a major slip of the tongue. While commenting on a dancer’s performance he said, “This is the first time we’ve seen it on ‘American Idol’ this season.” Oops, wrong show! This has sparked rumors that Lythgoe might be re-claiming his title as Producer on “American Idol.” So is he, or isn’t he?

“I’ve figured out I’ve got so much to talk about, you know, with [Saturday's] “National Dance Day,” and the Dizzy Feet Gala coming up on the 21st of August at the Shrine and the tour of “So You Think You Can Dance” that if I confirmed that I was doing ['American Idol'], people would just want to talk to me about Idol, if I denied I was doing it people wouldn’t want to talk to me at all,” he said coyly. Maybe he’ll tell us at Saturday’s “National Dance Day?”

Lythgoe  began “National Dance Day” as a way to combat obesity in America. “68% of the population over twenty is either overweight or obese,” he said. After thinking about all the monotonous exercise he thought, “How much more fun is it to dance? So I suggested we have a ‘National Dance Day’ here in America, and I wrote to the First Lady Michelle Obama.” Way to get the job done!

In addition to making National days possible, Lythgoe is going on tour with the “So You Think You Can Dance Crew” beginning September nineteenth. To grab your tickets, click here.

Demi Lovato called in to Ryan’s radio show Friday to share her thoughts on touring with the Jonas Brothers, her admiration for Kim Kardashian, and her upcoming promotion “Shop ‘TIl You Rock.”

The eighteen-year-old actress and singer just recently ended things with singer, Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, and oddly enough the two will be going on tour together starting August 6th. Despite the recent break-up, Lovato says the two “will be fine.” She told Ryan that they saw each other at the “Do Something” awards and “It was really cool, it felt like…back to normal before the romance started.”

So what happens if Demi meets someone on tour? Will she be able to get to know another guy with Joe around? Absolutely, she says. “I’m sure if I wanted to see someone, I would and I’m sure he would do the same.”

To get tickets to the Jonas Brothers/ Demi Lovato tour for just $20, click here. This low price is only available for the next 24 hours, so act fast!

Lovato revealed that aside from acting and singing, one her other passions is fashion, which is why she’s launching her new promotion, “Shop ‘Til You Rock.”

Lovato plans to share her passions, traveling around the country “doing meet and greets and signings.”  Lovato will be bringing the fun, she says “there’s a ton of bands and, you know, I’m a teenage girl so I love music and fashion, and [when] you combine the two together, I am there!”

Lovato’s fashion inspiration? None other than Kim Kardashian! “She is such a great inspiration when it comes to fashion and things like that because she wears clothes that really fit her body type, and she doesn’t try to squeeze into things that are made for supermodels, and it’s given me a lot of confidence just to be able to watch that,” she gushed.

Want to deck yourself out in material girl garb? You’re in the right place! Madonna and her daughter Lola have created their “Material Girl” collection for Macys, which hits stores August third. The creative process of the advertising campaign shoot was documented by cameras, which caught all the behind-the-scenes material.

Madonna says, “A material girl is a girl who is interested in fashion and interested in music and interested in fun and has a sense of humor.”

“Gossip Girl’s” Taylor Momsen is the face of the teen clothing line and tells cameras that “there’s a mother-daughter relationship which you can definitely see when [she and her daughter] are working together.”

The line is based on Lola’s style, which Madonna says she’s a major fan of. “I really like the way Lola dresses and I really think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste.”

In what some are calling the best dancing in the rain video ever created (don’t tell the Gene Kelly fan club), this video of some Oakland “turf” dancers is quickly gaining traction online.

According to Wikipedia, “turfing” is a form of street dance associated with hyphy music. The term originated as an acronym for Taking Up Room on the Floor, and was developed in the Oakland area.

Whatever it is, it looks damn cool.

Ellen Degeneres, the newest addition to the “American Idol” panel of judges, announced Thursday evening that she will not continue with American Idol as it enters it’s upcoming tenth season.

“[American Idol] didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” said DeGeneres in a statement posted to her website. “I loved the experience working on “Idol” and I am very grateful for the year I had.”

Variety reports that the departure was mutual, as DeGeneres opts to devote her attention to her popular daytime “Ellen DeGeneres Show” — which is now on track to fill the void next year by the outgoing “Oprah Winfrey Show.”

“She brought an incredible spirit to ‘Idol’ and was a great new addition to the team,” said Fox’s VP of Alternative Prodgramming Mike Darnell. “While we’re saddened by her decision, we are very appreciative that she gave us ample notice so that we could work through it together.”

Read Degeneres’ full statement below:

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the “American Idol” producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on “Idol” and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

The trailer for the highly anticipated comic book-turned-movie, ‘Thor,’ was shown for the first time at Comic-Con in San Diego this past weekend. Now, the same trailer has been leaked onto the internet, and it has whipped fans of the comic series into a frenzy!
This action-packed thriller stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman, as Thor’s first love interest, Jane Foster, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Thor’s disapproving father.
The trailer, which times in at over five minutes, gives audiences a hefty sneak peak at the suspense and action to come. ‘Thor’ is a film adaptation of the Marvel Comic strip about a weak mortal, Dr. Blake, who is Thor’s alter ego. Thor, on the other hand, is reckless and arrogant who, through irresponsible actions, reignites an ancient war. To be punished for his actions, he is cast down to earth from the realm of Asgard, where he is cursed to live as Dr. Blake. While on Earth, Thor realizes what it takes to truly be a hero and thus is a changed man.
Chris Hemsworth is also expected to be playing Thor again in the planned ‘Avengers’ movie. Despite Hemsworth’s limited acting experience, he’ll be working with some very experienced peers: Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk and Chris Evans as Captain America.
Make sure to watch this trailer NOW before the studio takes it down!
Catch “Thor” in theatres May 6th, 2011.
