Gone are the days of bookmarking your crush’s Facebook profile – Facebook is now testing a new feature which will allow you to subscribed to a specific friend, making “Facebook stalking” easier.
According to social media blog Mashable, the feature is similar to Twitter, in that it will allow you “follow” specific people. The feature would allow you to know whenever a particular person has updated their status, added photos or posted anything onto their Facebook page.
The concept behind the feature is to make those who don’t use Facebook regularly experience easier, so they can just sign in, see what is going on with the people they actually care about, and then sign off.
Although some obsessive people may abuse the feature to follow ex boyfriends or girlfriends, co-workers or other “frenemies”, it will also allow you to keep tabs on people you actually care about.
So what do you think, would you use the “stalker” feature on Facebook? What other features do you think Facebook should have?

Though it’s been widely speculated about in the media, we can now confirm that Kara DioGuardi is officially stepping down after judging on “American Idol” for two seasons.

“I felt like I won the lottery when I joined “American Idol” two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol,” said DioGuardi. “I am very proud to have been associated with “American Idol” – it has truly been an amazing experience. I am grateful to FOX, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10!”

The multi-talented DioGuardi, whose titles include singer, songwriter, producer, composer, publisher, and record exec, has a catalog of several hundred songs, 169 of which have appeared on multi-platinum selling albums.

“Kara was a great addition to our Idol family,” said Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “I’ve been fortunate to get to know her well, and have always been amazed by her eye for talent and her commitment to developing and mentoring artists. She will be missed, and we wish her continued success.”

Season 10 of “American Idol” premieres in January.

After video of a young woman haphazardly tossing puppies into a river enraged the internet early this week, the Associated Press is reporting that Bosnian police have located the girl from leads given by animal protection groups in the country.

The girl, who is a juvenile, faces up to a $6,400 fine for animal cruelty as the result of her throwing six newborn puppies into the river, presumably killing them.

“Transformers” director Michael Bay offered a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the prosecution of the young woman in the video, in addition to the €1,500 ($1,926) reward reward offered by PETA earlier this week.

Police in the girl’s town of Bugojno say her parents will soon be questioned.

Broadcasting legend Larry King joined Ryan’s radio show for a full hour Thursday to talk about potentially returning to radio after leaving CNN, rumors of joiningDancing With The Stars, and his legacy in broadcasting.

CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO THE FULL INTERVIEW!

When asked whether he would consider doing Dancing he told us that executives did ask him to go on 4 years ago and thought about it for a while. However after “having interviewed all the people that go on,” he said, “and listen to what they go through…no.” He then added, “I just think it’s embarrassing. I’m not a dancer but my wife I think…I’m telling them now ask her.”

When asked about whether he would consider taking Dr. Laura’s position, who just announced her leaving radio, he said, “This advice thing, I cold do that couldn’t I…I got the name of it…I would do, Larry King Helps Do Your Thing.” He then joked, “People call in with problems, I help them. Because I’ve had every known problem!”

At the end of the interview, King got a little sentimental when asked about his epic 25 years at CNN ending. “They’re mixed. Colin Powell told me, it was a great thing he told me, he says that in the New York City subway system, you know when the train gets to the last stop it turns around again…he said brigadier general told him in Vietnam ‘you know Colin when you get the last stop, get off.’ It was time to get off…there are going to be nights I’m really going to miss it…I’m going to do four specials a year..I certainly couldn’t leave leave.”

When asked if he knew who was going to replace him, King said that he did not but, “it’s going to be hard for whoever does it,but I want CNN to thrive.” He also stated that he would watch whoever is taking his place and he hopes they “do well.”

In terms of his ‘dream gig,’ Larry explained, “I’d like to do a show with Shawn…there have been so many rumors about you and me (Ryan), I wouldn’t mind that at all…I love radio… You can get away with a lot of things in radio.” Ryan then asked King one final question, “What will you do the first day, when you’re not getting up, same routine, same grind, getting ready to do Larry King Live?” “Cry,” King replied.
